Quincy completed his B.Sc. in Chemistry at the University of the Philippines Los Baños in 2011 and his M.Sc. in Soil Science minor in Horticulture in 2018 at the same university. Currently, Quincy is undertaking a Ph.D. in Soil Science under the supervision of Dr. William Shotyk, and he will be studying the natural filtration of water by soil in Elmvale, Ontario, Canada. This study will investigate how the various fractions of soil (organic matter, clay minerals, Fe and Mn oxyhydroxides) are able to remove trace elements from atmospheric water (rain and snow), to generate high quality, heavy metal-free groundwater.
